Success depends on you

Entrepreneurship is increasingly important in today’s working world. As entrepreneurs generate innovations, create jobs, and increase productivity, their importance for national labor markets and the economy is significant.  Entrepreneurship is not restricted to enterprise creation but also encompasses the processes of opportunity detection and exploitation as well as the personal development of an entrepreneur and the whole process of “becoming entrepreneurial”.

Why Hire a Coach

The process of being and developing as an entrepreneur is highly demanding. For example, compared to employed professionals, entrepreneurs must tolerate longer working hours, intense time pressure, and high levels of complexity and uncertainty. They experience higher levels of stress while receiving less social support at work. Furthermore, entrepreneurs often assume multiple roles simultaneously, frequently acting both within the company and as a shareholder, thereby increasing their stake in their venture. While some of their job demands, for example, high levels of responsibility, resemble those of executives, entrepreneurs are more closely tied to their venture, not only financially as owners but also emotionally as creators of their business idea.

The Process Step Four

what really is

most important

According to statistics published in 2019 by the Small Business Administration (SBA), about twenty percent of business startups fail in the first year. About half succumb to business failure within five years.  So why are these statistics so grim giving you only a 50% chance of seeing any business success in the first five years?   It’s because we fail to focus on what’s really most important.  Our methodology focuses on the four most critical factors that determine the long-term success of any business:  People, Strategy, Execution, Cash.  Identifying each of these factors in a fast-growing entrepreneurial company is the key to consistent growth and eventual success

First Who, Then What—get the right people on the bus—is a concept developed in the book Good to Great. By Jim Collins. Those who build great organizations make sure they have the right people on the bus and the right people in the key seats before they figure out where to drive the bus. They always think first about who and then about what. When facing chaos and uncertainty, and you cannot possibly predict what’s coming around the corner, your best “strategy” is to have a busload of people who can adapt to and perform brilliantly no matter what comes next. Great vision without great people is irrelevant.

Put simply, Business strategy is a clear set of plans, actions and goals that outlines how a business will compete in a particular market, or markets, with a product or number of products or services. The business strategy always aligns with the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.

Cash is the most critical part of the business equation. Without it, nothing in business exists. Cash can come from many different sources including cash flow from profits, financing or debt from investors, acceleration of customer payments, supplier financing or numerous other creative ways of creating cash flow. A business leader can and should look at cash separately than profit. Cash is certainly the vehicle that keeps the company alive until a company is cash flow positive however, it is also the vehicle that spurs accelerated growth when investing back into the business.
